Corporate Social Responsibility

As a responsible corporate organisation, the Ruia Group is committed to the welfare of not only its employees, but to all its stakeholders in its activity space, over and above its business areas. The group takes pride in its social commitment, which includes the society at large and the environmental aspects.

In this, the group's Corporate Social Responsibility is basically spread over two activity areas. They are: Health, Education and Sports.

Health

The Ruia Group supports and has major contributions to reputable institutions engaged in charitable activities benefiting the most deserving sections of society.

Education

Ruia Group Scholarship

Financial assistance for continuation of studies to bright, needy students joining class XI, as well as college courses. Outstanding achievers who have weathered the poverty storm are carefully chosen for this award. This award is not for the employees of the Group's companies.

The group also donates to various educational institutions for constructing new buildings/blocks for classrooms/hostels etc.

Chairman’s Incentive to the children of Ruia Group employees
This is an Incentive, given every year to the children of the employees, especially factory workers, of the Indian companies in the group:

	Top performers at Secondary or equivalent examinations.
	Top performers at Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations.
	Higher Education & Study Abroad: Exceptionally bright academic achievers among children of Ruia Group employees are offered assistance for advanced studies in Universities beyond its country's borders.

Sports

Sporting activity is encouraged throughout the Group. Ten awards are given to children of employees excelling in any sporting discipline in a year.

Outstanding achievers in the field of sports are also awarded.

Group Chairman Mr. Pawan K Ruia has taken special interest in the development of a soccer field and stadium.

Art & Culture

Outstanding achievements in performing arts, fine arts and other creative activities among the children of employees are encouraged through special incentives.
